Back to school

Can you believe that school is already back in session? I feel it's been a century since March and I think we can all agree that this year has been one interesting year.

I am a mother to the sweetest 5 year old boy. This year he starts kindergarten. To tell you the truth, I never mentally prepared myself for my son to grow up. Yes, there were times where I wanted to press fast forward (hello terrible twos and trying threes!) but now we are in the space where if I blink, I'll be taking his senior photos!

We also had no idea how school would look like. I wanted him to get to experience the full kindergarten experience. Call me selfish, but I never once thought that he has zero clue what to expect. Yes the experience has been different but we are so thankful for the school staff and teachers making this moment special.

To my amazement my sweet boy has been a champ. Yes he's been scared because it's a new building, new friends, new teachers but he never blinked when we told him the new rules. We will learn how to do virtual learning on the days that he is home with us but I know deep down he is going to do so well!

To all the parents reading and your students too, you've got this, you're strong, you're brave and we all wmakeill it through this very strange time.
